Accountabilities
- Review new legislation that has been through automated conversion process, undertake manual fixes as required and load into BES database
- Analyze and process independent commencements in BES/L+CP tool
- Support the processing and fixing of XML documents required for L+CP operations
- Monitor Lexis+ UK to ensure all new legislation is appearing
- Monitor external online sources to ensure all new legislation has been received
- Respond via email to customer requests for historical versions of legislation
- Review new legislation for amendments and update TOEs database with Stop Press information
- Update all relevant spreadsheets to track progress through whole editorial process
- Reviewing new legislation for amendments and generating Halsbury's Statutes citator notes accurately to house style
- Monitor UK Parliament website and update Bill Tracker content in CAKE database showing progress of Bills through Parliament
- Monitor UK government websites for new legislation
- Summarize all UK Statutory Instruments and Acts on the day they are issued
- Add summaries to the LN content management systems
- Complete all relevant metadata
- Apply UK legal taxonomy terms
- Carry out both automated and manual restyling (text changes)
- Validate all work is correct
- Liaise with LNUK editorial contacts to ensure content is up to date to required schedule, including late amendments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- 12 years of BPO, shared services, or related experience preferred
- Fresh graduates may also be considered based on communication skills and overall potential
- Proficiency with standard computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet applications)
- Excellent English communication skills (both oral and written)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements, hybrid/onsite setups, and rotating work schedules
- Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives
