Position Purpose
The Finance & Administration Officer is responsible for managing financial operations and administrative processes across Cargo Wise and Xero. The role ensures accurate financial records, reconciliations, and reporting to support business operations.
Operational Context
- Work schedule: 8:30am 5:30pm aligned to Sydney, Australia time
- New South Wales (Australia) public holidays apply
- Work is performed in Cargo Wise (core platform) and aligned systems (e.g., CRM, Xero)
- Strict adherence to SOPs, workflow discipline, and quality control standards is required
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities including invoicing and payments
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Manage accounting functions within Cargo Wise
- Manage bookkeeping and financial records within Xero
- Perform reconciliations and support financial reporting
- Maintain financial documentation and administrative records
Must-Have Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping for 7+ years
- Hands-on experience with Xero or similar accounting systems
- Strong reconciliation and financial reporting experience
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data
- Ability to manage financial processes independently and within structured systems
- Experience working in a process-driven or SOP-based environment
Experience And Skills
- Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance administration
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero
- CargoWise experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
