Responsibilities:
The Actuary plays a critical role in developing and maintaining pricing strategies for products and services. Their responsibilities include:
- Applying statistical and financial models to evaluate pricing decisions for new and renewing accounts.
- Monitoring performance and making recommendations based on market conditions (industry trends, customer behavior, competitor actions) to determine optimal pricing strategies.
- Conducting market research and surveys to gather data on pricing and market conditions.
- Collaborating with various departments such as sales, marketing, and product development to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives.
- Providing sales support to ensure invoicing and purchase order procedures align with pricing guidelines.
- Communicating findings and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and business acumen.
- Ideally with actuary experience or exposure to actuarial work.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
