Controls and carry out the acid treatment process to remove impurities in by-product (Acid Oil, Glycerin and Wash Water) in CME production.
General Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and handle acid (Hydrochloric and Sulfuric Acid)
- Monitor pH to ensure proper neutralization (not over- or under-acidified)
- Monitor, control and record readings during the acidulation stage
- Ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Perform basic troubleshooting and report mechanical issues
- Record batch data (materials, conditions, yields, issues)
- Follow plant safety rules and chemical handling procedures
Job Requirements
- High School/Senior High School Graduate or Vocational Graduate
- Ability to perform manual tasks such as material charging, and loading/unloading of by-product materials
- Capable of following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions accurately
- Basic understanding of process or production documentation
- Willing to work in shifting schedules and in a plant/industrial environment
- Physically fit and able to work under varying plant conditions
