Role Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to manage incoming payments and ensure accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, tracking payments, and maintaining customer account information. This role plays a key part in maintaining the financial health of the organization by ensuring timely collections and resolving billing discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and send invoices to customers or clients.
- Record and post payments received via various methods (e.g., checks, bank transfers, online payments).
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Investigate and resolve customer billing issues and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records.
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and aging.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist with month-end closing and audits.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external customers.
Qualifications
- A degree in accounting/finance or any related field
- 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Experience in QuickBooks and NetSuite is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines and expectations with minimal supervision
- Display a positive attitude and professional demeanor with staff, vendors, and clients.
- Amenable to work on-site and night shift
