Your Role
As a Accounts Receivable Assistant, You Will
- Support day-to-day bookkeeping, financial data entry, and credit control activities to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Monitor customer accounts, follow up on outstanding payments in line with credit procedures, accurately allocate payments, and issue customer statements.
- Process, validate, and manage customer orders and invoices within accounting and ERP systems while ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer and client inquiries relating to orders, invoices, account balances, and payment concerns.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records by working closely with the finance, sales, and operations teams.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized electronic and paper-based filing systems for financial, operational, and customer records.
- Prepare financial reports and spreadsheets while providing administrative support during peak business periods and month-end activities.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
- Previous professional experience in finance, bookkeeping, customer service, or administrative roles.
- Strong numerical accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of accounting or ERP systems such as NetSuite, Yooz, or similar platforms.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and accurate, high-volume data entry.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a highly professional, reliable, and confidential approach.
Preferred Skills/Expertise
- Previous experience working within a finance or accounts receivable environment.
- Direct experience with structured credit control and collections processes.
- Experience using CRM or digital order processing systems.
- AAT Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or currently working towards one) is highly advantageous.
