Accounts Payable Team Lead

Role Description: The Accounts Payable Team Lead is a full-time role responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function and ensuring timely, accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments. Based in Muntinlupa City in a hybrid setup, this role combines on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising the accounts payable team, reviewing and authorizing payment runs, reconciling vendor statements, and resolving invoice discrepancies. The role also involves monitoring compliance with company policies and controls, collaborating with finance and procurement teams, preparing accounts payable reports and metrics, and supporting month-end close activities. The Accounts Payable Team Lead is expected to drive process improvements, maintain strong vendor relationships, and provide guidance and training to team members.

Qualifications

• Strong Accounting and Finance skills, with experience in accounts payable processes and understanding of basic GAAP or equivalent standards.
• Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, identify variances, and support process improvement initiatives.
• Proven Team Management capabilities, including supervising staff, delegating tasks, coaching team members, and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Customer Service mindset, with the ability to manage vendor inquiries, resolve payment issues professionally, and communicate clearly with internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems and advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups) for reporting and analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications or prior experience in shared services or BPO environments are an advantage.
