Your Role

Responsibilities

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will support accounting operations and handle a variety of finance-related tasks depending on business needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing incoming Accounts Payable (AP) invoices, ensuring complete documentation and approvals
  • Managing monthly recurring invoices, journals, credits, and machine billing
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks, including remittance tracking and debt collection support
  • Maintaining accurate accounting records and updating reconciliation spreadsheets
  • Resolving vendor and internal queries through clear and professional communication
  • Executing timely payment processing and assisting with vendor onboarding and credit applications
  • Supporting process improvements and participating in ad hoc projects as needed

What You Need

Non-negotiables

  • Solid experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting functions
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills with a customer-service mindset
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to learn new systems and automation tools quickly
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy in data entry and reconciliations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Skills/expertise

  • Understanding of Australian accounting standards and GST principles
  • Experience in managed services or shared services environment
  • Ability to identify process improvements and manage multiple priorities effectively
