Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Manila, Philippines

Reports to: Finance Controller

About the role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, and financial records while supporting the accounting of the group..

Key responsibilities:

• Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centres by analysing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
• Pay vendors, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
• Pay employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; preparing checks
• Monitoring company's credit cards and prepare monthly reconciliation
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
• Ad-hoc duties assigned by reporting officers
  
  

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant diploma in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
• 1-3 years experience in Accounts Payable and Accounting
• Deep knowledge of payments, accounting, and budgeting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work well independently and in group with tight timelines
• Proficient in MS Excel such as the use of financial formulae and pivot tables
• Experience in Oracle Cloud
