We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to manage core end-to-end accounts payable operations and supplier compliance for Australian multi-entity structures. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will handle high-volume invoice processing in QuickBooks, weekly ABA payment file preparations, supplier reconciliations, and month-end AP accruals.

Your Impact

  • Invoice Processing & Inbox Management: Manage the central accounts payable inbox, respond to internal/external inquiries, and process high-volume invoices in QuickBooks across multiple entities.
  • Payments & Banking Operations: Prepare weekly unpaid supplier listings for Finance Manager review, generate electronic ABA files from QuickBooks for bank processing, and execute ad hoc payment requests for executive leadership.
  • Supplier Account Management: Perform key supplier statement reconciliations, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain complete supplier compliance documentation.
  • Month-End Reporting & Accruals: Prepare month-end accounts payable accruals, sub-ledger reconciliations, and support period-end financial reporting tasks.

What You Bring

  • The Experience:2 to 4 years of solid Accounts Payable experience supporting Australian businesses or an Australian accounting firm environment, preferably in a high-volume setting.
  • Software & Banking Competency: Hands-on proficiency in QuickBooks Online, experience generating Australian electronic bank payment files (ABA format), and strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Sound technical understanding of Australian AP processes, GST treatment on supplier invoices, and corporate purchasing compliance rules.
  • Core Competencies: Analytical problem-solving capability, meticulous attention to detail, strong time management, and clear written and verbal English communication.
