Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients across the accounting, finance, and professional services industries.
We're looking for a detail-driven Accounts Payable Officer to independently manage day-to-day transactional accounting for our Australian corporate clients. In this role, you'll be the primary operational backbone of sub-ledger accuracy-processing complex multi-currency transactions, reconciling intricate accounts, and keeping financial records running like a well-oiled machine. Operating directly out of our modern facility on a stable dayshift, this position is custom-built for a finance professional who takes immense pride in maintaining clean books, chasing numerical precision, and delivering flawless execution.
Your Impact
- Money Mover: Process, code, and reconcile high-volume accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high precision, verifying that all incoming vendor invoices are matched against purchasing approvals.
- Journal Jedi: Prepare and post essential general journals-including end-of-month expense accruals and prepayments-ensuring the corporate ledger remains perfectly balanced and audit-ready at all times.
- Balance Whisperer: Perform thorough daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and critical balance sheet accounts, aggressively spotting ledger discrepancies and clearing items before they compound.
- Reporting Rockstar: Assist senior accountants in the compilation of monthly management reporting packs and statutory compliance submissions, providing structural data support for Business Activity Statements (BAS) and payroll tax reporting.
- Query Crusher: Liaise proactively with international suppliers, clients, and internal teams to resolve billing disputes and transaction discrepancies swiftly, protecting commercial partnerships through exceptional communication.
What You Bring
- The Experience:Minimum of 1 to 3 years of solid, hands-on experience handling Australian corporate accounting or transactional finance workflows is required. You have done the reps and are fully aligned with AU business terminology.
- Numbers Native: A robust, foundational knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, sub-ledger mechanics, and balance sheet reconciliation processes.
- Tech Fluent Capabilities: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (comfortable manipulating data sheets, sorting files, and utilizing logic filters) combined with operational confidence navigating cloud accounting systems or enterprise ERP platforms.
- Deadline Devotee: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven capacity to handle competing month-end closing priorities and consistently deliver accurate work under tight turnaround windows.
- Connector & Communicator: Good written and verbal English communication skills, allowing you to engage professionally and confidently with overseas suppliers and management to solve processing bottlenecks.
