Accounts Payable & Expense Lead

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable & Expense Lead to oversee accounts payable operations and expense management across a complex, multi-entity investment environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional with strong AP leadership experience and a solid understanding of private equity fund structures, management companies, SPVs, and fund expense allocation.

You will play a key role in strengthening AP workflows, ensuring accurate expense allocation, improving financial controls, and driving operational efficiency across multiple entities.

What You'll Do

• Oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable and expense management activities across multiple entities.
• Manage AP workflows, including invoice processing, payment coordination, expense reviews, and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate allocation of expenses across private equity funds, management companies, and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
• Review and monitor fund-related expenses, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment and supporting documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, employee expenses, and vendor payments.
• Monitor AP controls, approval workflows, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Lead, coach, and support the AP team, ensuring quality, accountability, and timely delivery.
• Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes through automation and workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve payment discrepancies, expense allocation issues, and operational challenges.
• Support reporting, reconciliations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or General Accounting, with a strong focus on AP workflow management in a multi-entity environment.
• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of Private Equity fund structures, management companies, SPVs, and fund expense allocation.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, invoice management, payment workflows, and expense accounting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with complex financial structures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting capabilities.
• Strong working knowledge of AP automation platforms.
• Experience with Stavpay is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with Advent Geneva or comparable portfolio accounting systems.
• Experience supporting private equity, alternative investments, or fund administration environments.

Work Arrangement

• Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM Philippine Time.
• Hybrid setup: 2–4 onsite days per month.
