Your Role
As a
Accounts Payable Administrator you will:
- Verify and process high-volume vendor invoices for fuel, equipment, and field services.
- Coordinate complex payment methods including electronic fund transfers (EFTs) for national distributors.
- Reconcile industry-specific accounts payable transactions and resolve billing discrepancies with key suppliers.
- Manage month-end closing activities, including accruals for unbilled fuel shipments or service contracts.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Accounts Payable, ideally within oil and gas or heavy industry.
- Proficiency in enterprise accounting software and advanced Excel for managing large data sets.
- Strong reconciliation skills to manage complex vendor statements and multi-site billing.
- Exceptional attention to detail to identify errors in high-value procurement documentation.
Preferred Skills/ Expertise
- Experience with 3-way matching involving purchase orders, receiving reports, and vendor invoices.
- Familiarity with the procurement-to-payment (P2P) cycle within a fuel retail or distribution network.
- Previous involvement in supporting internal and external financial audits.
- Proven ability to negotiate payment terms or resolve disputes with major utility and logistics partners.
- Knowledge of accounting for fuel tax credits or industry-specific environmental levies.
