Accounting Supervisor (US)

D&V Philippines Makati, National Capital Region, Philippines (Hybrid)

Work Setup & Schedule:

Available Shifts (Monday to Friday):

3:00 PM – 12:00 MN

  • Hybrid setup (1–2 days onsite per month or quarter)

9:00 PM – 6:00 AM

  • Initially requires 3 months onsite training, followed by a transition to a hybrid setup (1–2 days onsite per month or quarter)

What will make you a great fit:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or other related field.
  • CPA or CPA Candidate, MBA or MBA Candidate or candidate for other relevant certification.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in Public Accounting or at a Non-Profit organization preferred.
  • Proficient with various accounting software programs including but not limited to QuickBooks,
  • Sage Intacct, Solomon and Great Plains.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to conduct analytical reviews and exhibit an understanding of complex accounting theory.
  • A deep understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

What you'll be doing:

  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process, including preparation of audit

schedules, financial statements and notes to the financial statements.

  • Keep engagement partner informed and updated on engagement progress, engagement

issues, and team status and needs.

  • Knowledgeable on complex accounting issues and treatment, proficient in accounting

research.

  • Responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, including statement of financial

position, statement of activities, statement of functional expenses, and analysis on changes

in financial position and budget variances.

  • Review reconciliations for significant balance sheet accounts and various other general

ledger accounts, as needed; and review month-end closing entries including payroll, fringe,

indirect allocations, investment allocations, and grant allocations.

  • Maintain deep understanding of the accounting operations within each assigned client.
  • Proficient knowledge of the clients accounting software packages.
  • Responsible for recommending and enforcing the internal controls, policies, and procedures,

established by the client.

  • Lead the engagement team in preparation for clients audits as the main contact with external

auditors
