Summary:
Reporting to Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for the planning, coordinating, and administration of the general accounting, supervising the work of the accountants, and reporting activities, including financial statement preparation and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations. This role will focus on reconciling high volume cash accounts, recording revenue, assisting with the month end close process.
Outcomes and Expectations:
- Review and prepare journal entries to record monthly activity, including cash, revenue, liabilities, chargebacks, transfers and adjustments
- Review work products prepared by Accountant (Accounting) and Senior Accountant (Accounting) staff
- Review month end close and cash reports
- Participate in meetings and calls
- Participate in MOR Process
- Review Close Notes
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures
- Work with leadership to identify opportunities for improving processes and efficiency
- Identify, analyze and research variances between the payment processor, bank and general ledger
- Participate in physician on-boarding and off-boarding activities related to capital. Educate practice management on capital expenditure request (CER) process; approvals, invoicing and tracking
