Description

The Accounting Supervisor shall be responsible in managing and optimizing our accounts payable operations within the finance and marketing team. This role will encompass a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of our financial transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Transaction Validation and Posting: Oversee the daily validation and posting of accounts payable transactions to ensure all payments are legitimate, accurate, and processed in a timely manner.
  • Invoice Entry Review: Examine accounting entries related to processed invoices to verify their correctness and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Budget Monitoring: Regularly review budget reports to identify any variances or potential issues, and provide recommendations for adjustments or corrective actions as needed.
  • Billing Concerns Management: Address and resolve billing concerns and discrepancies in a timely and effective manner. This involves liaising with vendors and internal departments to investigate and resolve issues related to invoice accuracy, payment disputes, and billing errors. Maintain detailed records of billing issues and resolutions to prevent future occurrences.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.
  • With at least two (2) years proven experience as an Accountant or Accounting Supervisor with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments
