Duties and Responsibilities:
Finance Shared Service
- Oversee and lead the Manila Finance Shared Services function.
- Ensure execution of AR, AP, GL and data management process in accordance with good practice.
- Manage service delivery to ensure compliance with service level agreements
Accounting, Auditing, Reporting and Statutory Compliance in Manila
- Ensure completion of timely and accurate financial statements for Manila Regional Operating Headquarters that meet all disclosure requirements and reporting deadlines locally and for the parent company.
- Supervise month-end close process, ensuring both General Ledger accounting and transaction processing (A/P, A/R, Fixed Assets) are complete and accurate.
- Monitor changes in local statutory accounting and reporting requirements, report on changes and implement as needed to ensure compliance with local laws and regulation.
- Manage the local financial auditor to ensure the audit is completed.
Tax compliance
- Coordinate with outside partners to comply with all tax regulation, including the timely filing of tax returns in Manila.
- Support the development and maintenance of tax planning structures where appropriate.
Treasury
- Manage cash flow forecasting to efficiently maintain adequate liquidity.
- Coordinate with Toppan Merrill APAC finance team to manage intercompany balances efficiently.
- Manage bank accounts in the region, ensuring accounts are used efficiently and unnecessary accounts are closed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting/ Finance or related disciplines
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a multinational company
- Qualified Accountant or similar level professional qualification
- Candidates with previous audit experience are preferred
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills, experience with Oracle or SAP is a plus
- Solid written and verbal communication skills able to communicate effectively
- Responsive to change, with the ability to endure pressure
- Sound knowledge in accounting standards
