Role Description The Accounting Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in San Pedro. This role oversees daily accounting operations, including managing general ledger entries, reviewing and preparing financial statements, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The Accounting Supervisor monitors accounts payable and receivable, reconciles bank and account balances, and supports budget preparation and cash flow monitoring. The role includes supervising and mentoring accounting staff, enforcing internal controls, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners such as auditors and banks. The Accounting Supervisor also helps improve accounting processes, ensures compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and provides financial insights to support business decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and Financial Reporting, with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly.
- Hands-on experience with Financial Statements, including preparation, review, and analysis of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software and related digital tools, with the ability to optimize and troubleshoot accounting systems.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to identify trends, variances, and risks, and to support data-driven recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Experience in supervisory or team lead roles within accounting or finance, preferably in retail, FMCG, or cosmetics.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and standard accounting practices.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling financial information, and the ability to work on-site in San Pedro.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments in a fast-paced, growing organization.
