Job Description

Greenery Mart Corporation (GMC) is a retail and wholesale distribution company based in Aklan that sells fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) at low prices. GMC caters to a population of around 1.2 million people, with a distribution area spanning 24 municipalities throughout the Panay Island region.

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounting Supervisor located in Ibajay, Aklan. An Accounting Supervisor is responsible for heading the organization's accounting and finance arm and overseeing financial operations, including accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and maintaining internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Daily Cash Position (DCP) Report

• Analyze DCP and monitor funds to secure financial stability for the coming weeks

• Scheduling of supplier payables for payment

• Check and review vouchers before check issuance as scheduled to be collected by suppliers for the day

• Reconcile Bank reports (passbook) to Daily Cash Position Report

• Monitor and encoding Cashiers remittances from branches and checking their notebook logs

• Review Books of Accounts, AR and AP Schedules, EWT and VAT Reports for GMC

• Conduct actual count of Bills and coins on hand for Change Bills

• Check and review computation for Salary Advances request and Payroll computation

• Approve Petty cash replenishment and disbursement

• Call the bank officers for verification, clarification and for loan processing

• Prepare necessary documents for loan processing and sending it to the bank through email.

• Authorize payment for E-Gov facilities.

• Reconcile remittance versus actual cash payments to the bank from our business operations

• Coordinate with management for some concerns affecting finance and accounting matters.

• Manage and delegate tasks to accounting staff and ensure staff are trained and qualified

• Provide data-driven insights to senior management, create financial forecasts and identify cost-reduction or revenue-enhancement opportunities

• Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of BS Accountancy

•Being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• High level of integrity and professionalism
