Role Description The Accounting Supervisor – General Ledger (GL) is a full-time, on-site role based in Central Luzon, Philippines. This role is responsible for supervising day-to-day general ledger activities, including posting journal entries, reviewing account reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures. The role oversees the preparation and analysis of financial statements, supports compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, and coordinates with other departments to resolve accounting issues. The Accounting Supervisor – GL also assists in audits, improves internal controls for GL processes, and mentors accounting staff to maintain high-quality financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in general ledger accounting, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and month-end closing.
  • Experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, and variance review to support management decision-making.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheets (e.g., ERP software, Microsoft Excel) and comfort with process documentation.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, internal controls, and basic tax and compliance requirements.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior accounting role, with the ability to guide and support team members.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA) is an advantage.
  • Experience in retail, food and beverage, or multi-branch operations is a plus.
