Role Description The Accounting Supervisor (General Accountant) is a full-time, on-site role based in Mandaluyong. This position oversees day-to-day general accounting operations, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintenance of accurate ledgers. The role is responsible for supervising accounting staff, monitoring compliance with internal controls, and ensuring timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. The Accounting Supervisor prepares and reviews financial statements and reports, supports audits, and coordinates with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights for decision-making. The role also involves monitoring use of accounting software, improving accounting processes, and supporting budget and forecast activities.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, with experience in general accounting and financial processes.
- Ability to prepare and review Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant standards.
- Proficiency in Financial Reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Accounting Software and related systems used for recording and analyzing financial data.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, identifying variances, and recommending improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is an advantage.
- Experience in a supervisory or senior accounting role, preferably in a corporate or IT-related environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Knowledge of Philippine tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit procedures is highly beneficial.
