Role Description

The Accounting Supervisor (General Accountant) is a full-time, on-site role based in Mandaluyong, responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role includes preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. The Accounting Supervisor monitors accounts payable and receivable, reconciles bank and ledger accounts, and coordinates with internal teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and compliance requirements. The role also involves supervising and mentoring accounting staff, implementing process improvements, and ensuring adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles, particularly in general accounting and supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for management and regulatory purposes.
  • Proficient in Accounting Software and related tools, with the ability to optimize workflows and maintain accurate records.
  • Well-developed Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is an advantage.
  • Experience in a similar accounting supervisory role, preferably within an I.T. or technology-driven organization.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling confidential information, and commitment to regulatory and ethical compliance.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
