Job Summary

The Accounting Supervisor (General Accountant) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate General Ledgers, Financial reports compliant with accounting standards, and internal controls. This role manages the general ledger, month-end and year-end closing processes, financial analysis while leading and developing the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

· Oversee and manage the general accounting functions including:

o General ledger maintenance

o Nontrade Payable

· Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

· Assists the Director for Accounting and Finance in management reports

· Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

· Analyze financial data and provide insights into management for decision-making.

Compliance & Internal Controls

· Maintain and strengthen internal control systems and accounting procedures.

· Coordinate with internal audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.

Team Leadership

· Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.

· Assign responsibilities and evaluate team performance.

· Promote continuous improvement and operational efficiency within the department.

Process Improvement

· Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems and workflows.

· Participate in ERP/accounting system enhancements and automation projects.

· Develop and document accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

· Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years supervisory role.

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.

· Experience with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Skills

· Knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and local statutory regulations.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

· High attention to detail and accuracy.
