What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial records and month-end closing activities.
- Supervise the implementation of accounting policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Review general accounting transactions, account reconciliations, revenue and collection reports, accounts payable schedules, and other financial records for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met and financial reports are prepared on time.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, including acquisitions, transfers, disposals, depreciation, and physical asset verification.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounts, ensuring reconciling items are resolved promptly.
- Oversee tax compliance by reviewing VAT, withholding tax, BIR returns, and supporting schedules before submission, while coordinating with external accountants and tax consultants.
- Supervise, coach, and develop the accounting team, ensuring quality output, balanced workload, and continuous capability development.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and support finance transformation and ERP initiatives.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; CPA license is preferred.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong background in general accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliation, and month-end closing.
- Experience in tax compliance, including VAT, withholding tax, and BIR reporting.
- Knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and financial reporting best practices.
- Experience using ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop a team.
