The Accounting Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for vessels Accounts Payable
- Ensuring 3-way matching with purchase orders, supporting documents and approvals are in place.
- Upload and processing of vendor invoices in ERP system
- Preparation of payment to suppliers via telegraphic transfer
- Responsible for accounting journal entries for vessels operating expenses
- Assist in month-end closing and annual audit
- Verify and investigate any discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
- Performing administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and document management
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Solid understanding of Accounting and Finance principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software and common office productivity tools
- Good interpersonal skill, ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Meticulous with strong analytical skills and able to multi-task
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Prior experience in a maritime or related industry is an advantage but not required.
