Accounting Staff

Haskoning is looking for an Accounting Staff to join our team in Makati (Philippines) to support our growing business in the fields of Water/Climate Resilience and Maritime. Are you ready to be hired by one of the top engineering consultancy firms in the world

What you do as an Accounting Staff

As an Accounting staff, you will report to your manager who is based in Jakarta (Indonesia). Your team comprises of around 13 staff and will be doing Finance accounting tasks for Australia, Indonesia, Philippines and Singapore. For your role, you will be working only under the Philippines so your working base is our Makati office. Among others, your responsibilities include the following:

• Booking transactions to the ERP System (ABW)
• Responsible for petty cash and doing monthly replenishments as needed
• Create 2307 certificate for suppliers
• Preparing and transmitting services invoices to clients
• Monitoring client payments, preparation of official receipts, and transmittal of these
• Collect and deposit check payments from clients
• Handling tax and tax reconciliation
• Collect original CWT Slip (2307) from customer
• Support AP team to collect original services invoice
• Prepare document required by external tax audit

What you bring

With your understanding of accounting and finance, you are able to apply this in daily practice. You also have the willingness to learn and collaborate with other team members to achieve team goals. To perform this role, you should have the following competencies:

• bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• around 2-9 working years experience as accounting staff
• basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software is a plus (ABW or Oracle)
• high level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial record-keeping
• good English verbal and written communication skills as we are an international engineering consultancy firm
• accounting experience in other engineering consultancy firms is a plus
• certified public accountant (CPA) eligibility is a plus
• able to multi-task, takes the initiative, and knows how to prioritize deliverables and deadlines
