About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will support key accounting functions including general ledger accounting, intercompany transactions, invoice processing, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger & Intercompany Accounting
- Prepare and post subsidiary accounting journal entries.
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities within a shared services environment.
- Ensure accounting transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve intercompany discrepancies.
- Support month-end closing activities and maintain accurate financial records.
Billing & Invoice Processing
- Prepare RMC invoices based on approved supporting documentation and spreadsheets.
- Record approved invoices into QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure proper allocation and coding of invoice items.
- Maintain accurate and complete billing records.
Account Reconciliation
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile corporate credit card accounts.
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of balance sheet accounts.
Other Responsibilities
- Assist with financial reporting and audit requirements as needed.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, intercompany accounting, and month-end close processes.
- Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Experience working in a Shared Services Center (SSC) or multinational environment supporting multiple entities.
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
