The Accounting Officer will assist the Finance Manager with month-end and year-end closing activities, tax return filing and compliance, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Ability to work independently and deliver expected results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs the month-end and year-end closing processes. Oversee the timely and proper closing of financial books at the end of each reporting period. Maintain a copy of all relevant accounting documents for audit and tax purposes.
- Monitors cash flow, reviews financial transactions, and ensures the completeness and accuracy of all accounting records on a timely basis.
- Ensures timely preparation and filing of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with all local tax requirements.
- Maintains documentation for Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) audits, ensures all documents are always audit ready.
- Review bank reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, and supporting documentation to verify validity and accuracy. Maintain the asset master data within the financial system.
- Prepare accurate and timely periodic and ad-hoc analyses and reports.
- Assist in the smooth and timely completion of interim and annual audits. Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents.
- Conducts monthly GL analysis and assists in the preparation of BS Reconciliation Report.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
- Preferably a CPA, with 2 - 3 years working experience in Accounting / Finance
- Familiarity with SAP Hana or other accounting software.
- Background working in the Pharmaceutical Industry is an advantage.
