Accounting Officer

The Accounting Officer will review the analysis, substantiation, and reconciliation of accounts based on valid and complete supporting documents. He/she will check the accuracy of the reports for submission to the Accounting Manager. He/she will implement accounting methods, internal controls, policies and procedures in safeguarding the company's assets.

Financial Data Processing:

• Ensures timely and accurate recording of transactions by the team.
• Reviews daily/weekly accounts analysis/reconciliations/substantiations and ensures timely submission to the Accounting Manager.
• Reviews the Schedule of Accounts and Notes to Financial Statements prepared by the processors.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Complies with accounting standards, policies and procedures.
• Identifies noted and potential issues on assigned accounts, supports process improvements, and ensures follow-through on issues.

People Management:

• Supervises first-line processors who are responsible for the day-to-day operations.
• Performs consistent and effective coaching sessions to address performance gaps.
• Attends necessary training programs.

Job Requirements:

• At least 3 years of work experience in general accounting or 2 years in financial audit (internal/external), 1 year at least of which is with supervisory function.
• Experience in accruals and account analysis with consideration of complexity and volume.
• Knowledge in the use of a computerized accounting system, preferably SAP.
• Adept in the use of MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.
• Proficient in the performance of account reconciliations.
• Ability to plan and prioritize workload.
• Quick learner and self-motivated.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Methodical and organized.
• Flexible and adaptable to changes.
