Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an Accounting Officer who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, preparing reports, and providing accounting support for assigned clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple accounts while meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure assigned accounts comply with applicable tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain accurate and updated accounting records, financial documents, and supporting schedules.

Prepare and submit required tax filings, government reports, and other compliance-related documents.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, accounting schedules, and management reports.

Submit monthly status reports covering assigned accounts and ongoing deliverables.

Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of accounting and compliance requirements.

Identify discrepancies, issues, or potential compliance risks and escalate them to management when necessary.

Communicate professionally with clients regarding accounting requirements, document requests, and status updates.

Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls.

Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and other accounting-related tasks.

Conduct fieldwork, client visits, or government agency transactions when required.

Stay updated on accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry practices relevant to the role.

Collaborate effectively with team members and support departmental objectives.

Handle multiple tasks and assignments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related field.

At least 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, taxation, or financial reporting.

Knowledge of Philippine taxation, bookkeeping, and accounting principles.

Experience preparing BIR, SEC, LGU, and other regulatory compliance requirements is an advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

High level of accuracy, integrity, and professionalism.
