Your Role:

Job Summary:

The Accounting Officer supports the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulatory requirements. The role involves day-to-day bookkeeping, transaction processing, and assisting with monthly and year-end financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, and payments
• Post manual journal entries
• Load payments into the internet bank
• Monitor and reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Maintain accurate and organized filing of accounting documents
• Liaise with vendors and internal departments for documentation and payment concerns
• Perform other related administrative and finance tasks as may be assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping (fresh graduates may be considered)
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software: MYOB, Quickbooks, Xero
• Familiarity with Australian tax regulations and financial reporting standards will be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
