Accounting Officer

Ayala Corporation has formed a joint venture with CP AXTRA, Thailand's leading wholesale and retail operator, to bring Makro to the Philippines. The venture aims to introduce differentiated wholesale format and assortment to the Philippines to address unmet local demand for high-quality, fresh food products.

Role Overview

The Accounting Officer is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards and company policies

• Prepare financial statements

• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, supplier and customer accounts as applicable

• Support implementation of ERP or accounting systems as the business scales

• Provide documentation and support during audits

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related program

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting roles

• Knowledge of accounting standards

• High attention to detail and accuracy

The following will be an advantage:

• CPA

• Experience with computerized accounting systems

• Experience in a retail organization

• Knowledge of tax regulations
