Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Project Accounting Officer to oversee financial reporting, audit coordination, and receivables management.
This role is ideal for someone who can ensure accuracy of financial statements, drive compliance, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure accuracy of general ledger and supporting schedules
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
Audit & Compliance
- Manage external audit process and coordinate with auditors
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
- Strengthen internal controls and resolve audit findings
Accounts Receivable Oversight
- Supervise AR team and ensure timely billing and collections
- Monitor aging and improve collection efficiency
- Address escalations and customer account issues
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff
- Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements
- Ensure alignment across finance teams and ERP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field
- CPA preferred but not required (unless you really want to keep it strict)
- At least 3-5 years accounting experience, with leadership exposure
- Strong background in financial reporting and audit
- Experience managing a team is highly preferred
