The Accounting Officer is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, and account reconciliations. The role ensures the accuracy of financial records, supports monthly closing activities, and provides analysis on sales, costing, and profitability to aid management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly sales reports, product costing, gross profit reports, and trial balances.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare tax returns and support compliance with BIR and other regulatory requirements.
- Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and BIR reconciliations.
- Maintain and monitor pricing systems, discount structures, and related accounting records.
- Review and analyze books of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Collaborate with Treasury and other departments to support financial reporting requirements.
- Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to improve accounting processes and controls.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Experience in financial reporting, taxation, reconciliations, and general accounting functions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
