DESCRIPTION
The Accounting Manager at Metro Pacific Dairy Farms will lead the company's financial reporting, compliance, and audit activities while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting records. This role oversees financial statements, enforces accounting controls, manages audits, and ensures regulatory compliance with government requirements. Candidates should have strong leadership skills, extensive accounting experience, and a solid background in financial reporting and compliance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee financial management functions, including consolidation, analysis, recording, and reporting of company transactions.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial reports (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for management.
- Supervise and monitor books of accounts, vouchers, ledgers, and general ledger activities to ensure reliability of accounting data.
- Establish and enforce accounting policies, controls, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with standards.
- Oversee yearly audit preparation, review reports, and provide recommendations on audit findings to top management.
- Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements (BIR, SEC, NTC, LGUs) and maintain integrity of submitted data.
- Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and government agencies on financial and accounting matters.
- Lead and manage the accounting team by setting goals, preparing budgets, monitoring performance, fostering teamwork, and providing coaching/mentoring.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent; CPA license is an advantage.
- Strong background in financial reporting, general ledger management, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Minimum of 45 years of relevant experience in a managerial capacity within accounting or finance.
- Knowledge of government regulations and reporting requirements (BIR, SEC, NTC, LGUs).
- Experience in audit preparation and liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Proven leadership skills with ability to supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to support business planning and operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
