Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounting Manager, based in Boracay Island, Malay Aklan. The Accounting Manager will oversee the preparation of financial statements, manage journal entries, and monitor fixed asset processes. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory standards, analyzing financial data to inform business decisions, and supervising the accounting team. The role also involves preparing reports for management, budget development, and ensuring accurate and timely financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Required
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in various accounting functions (General Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit, Taxation, Cost Control, and Budgeting)
- At least 5 years of experience in the Hotel & Restaurant industry (preferably in a pre-opening setup)
- Strong background in hotel financial systems, POS systems, inventory management, and revenue control
- Experience in pre-opening activities including chart of accounts setup, internal control establishment, and policy development
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis
- Knowledgeable in BIR compliance, tax regulations, and statutory reportorial requirements
- Strong understanding of internal controls, audit procedures, and risk management
- Experience handling government compliance (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, SEC, LGU permits, etc.)
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel (advanced level)
- Ability to lead and build an accounting team from the ground up
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Willing to be assigned in Boracay Island.
