Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to take full ownership of our account reconciliation and financial clean-up initiative ahead of our Q4 annual audit. Working as a strategic leader rather than operational support, you will bring a fresh perspective to audit our balance sheet accounts, identify discrepancies, and execute necessary adjusting entries. You will initially partner with our accounting team to ramp up, then collaborate closely with cross-functional finance stakeholders to resolve open items and ensure full audit readiness.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Account Clean-Up & Audit Preparation: Audit, review, and clean up historical account activity across key balance sheets to ensure complete alignment for the upcoming Q4 audit.
- Reconciliation Leadership: Partner with team members to prepare, review, and finalize complex monthly account reconciliations.
- Intercompany & Adjusting Entries: Analyze intercompany transactions, payables, and receivables; formulate, propose, and post required adjusting journal entries to clear outstanding items.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior accounting leadership and internal teams to audit financial records and establish best practices for ongoing account maintenance.
- Issue Resolution: Take end-to-end ownership in investigating and clearing backlogged or unaddressed reconciliation discrepancies.
- Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements
- Secures financial information by completing database backups
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in finance or accounting or a related area
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
- Experience in a Big 4 firm a plus
- Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com or any other large-scale ERP preferred
- Must have strong MS Excel skills (can perform complex formulas and automate processes)
- Experience developing financial reports and metrics
- Must be willing to work following US hours
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels
- Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects across an organization
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be available to work on GY schedule (i.e. 9pm PHT onwards)
System requirements:
- Computer Processor: Intel 8th generation or newer / AMD Ryzen 2000 series or newer.
- Computer Memory/RAM: At least 16.00 GB for both primary and backup computers.
- Computer OS: Windows 11 and future enterprise operating systems.
- Storage: 500 GB SSD.
- With licensed MS Office and extra monitor.
- Internet speed must be running on a 20+ Mbps wired plan (at least 10 Mbps for backup connection).
