Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the organization's accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective internal controls. The ideal candidate must have solid experience in a hospital or healthcare setting and possess strong knowledge of healthcare accounting, financial management, and Philippine regulatory requirements. This role will lead the accounting team, support strategic financial decisions, and ensure the integrity of the hospital's financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliation.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Monitor hospital revenues, patient billing, insurance reimbursements, and healthcare-related financial transactions.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, PhilHealth, SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, and other government regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance, providing recommendations to management.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with hospital departments to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
- Support management by providing financial analysis and strategic recommendations for business decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
- CPA license is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Must have experience working in a hospital, healthcare institution, or medical facility.
- Strong knowledge of hospital accounting, financial reporting, healthcare revenue cycle, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience handling audits, taxation, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
