The Role
You'll own the full accounting cycle in QuickBooks Online for a genuinely multi-channel eCommerce business — every settlement, fee, return, and rebate flowing from Amazon and our DTC store today, with new marketplaces ramping next. Reporting to the Director of Sales, Operations & Finance, you're the person who keeps the numbers accurate, current, and decision-ready as we scale.
What You'll Own
- The books — full ownership of QuickBooks Online: monthly close, reconciliations, journal entries, and maintaining timely and accurate financial records; support a disciplined monthly close.
- Marketplace & DTC accounting — reconcile Amazon settlements (FBA fees, advertising, rebates, returns, chargebacks) and Shopify / payment-processor payouts; stand up the same discipline for each new channel we launch.
- Inventory & COGS — inventory accounting across co-manufacturers and channel warehouses; landed costs, spoilage, and SKU- and channel-level margin accuracy.
- AP/AR & payroll — vendor bills and payments, receivables, payroll, and expense management.
- Reporting & compliance — monthly reporting the CEO and Director run the business on; multi-state sales tax, 1099s, and audit-ready records.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years owning the books end to end — monthly close, reconciliations, and GAAP-basis financials; accounting degree; CPA a plus.
- Deep QuickBooks Online expertise and advanced spreadsheet skills.
- eCommerce accounting experience — Amazon settlement and Shopify payout reconciliation strongly preferred.
- Inventory / COGS accounting for a physical-product or CPG business.
- Exacting and self-directed — able to take over the books with minimal ramp in a lean, fast-moving company.
