Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Philippine accounting standards and tax regulations, and maintaining accurate financial reporting. The role involves managing budgeting and forecasting, supervising the accounting team, and ensuring the accuracy of payroll and financial transactions. The Accounting Manager also drives process improvements, strengthens internal controls, and supports strategic decision-making to enhance overall financial performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Managing daily operations: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger.

2. Tax planning: Analyze financial activities to identify tax-saving opportunities and implementing effective strategies to improve tax efficiency.

3. Compliance: Ensure that all transactions comply with applicable tax laws. Perform regular audits and reviews of works done by subordinates to ensure compliance and identify any discrepancies.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assists in budgeting sales and expenses for a certain period. Forecast future financial performance based on historical performance and market trends. Compare budget and actual performance and take corrective actions on noted variances.

5. Recording transactions: Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions before closing of each accounting period.

6. Staff supervision: Lead, train, and motivate the accounting team, delegate tasks and evaluate performance.

7. Payroll Management: Check accuracy of payroll computation, deductions and salary payments.

8. Process improvement: Continuously improve accounting systems and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy. Strengthen internal controls and work with various department to identify areas for improvement.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ATTITUDE

  • Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and tax laws
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven leadership skills (experience in handling people)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday

  • 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
