Job Description

A well-established architectural and design firm based in Makati City is seeking for an Accounting Head (permanent; full time) as part of its local expansion.

Work setup: Hybrid; Monday to Friday usual dayshift

Purpose
Responsible for overall financial health and management of the company; Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the Partners and Board of Directors.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor company funds to successfully meet the financial requirements of the company.
  • Check all disbursements like vouchers, petty cash and payroll computations
  • Monitor cash flow and manage budgeting processes
  • Review bank reconciliation statements of all accounts
  • Review collection list weekly and monitor unpaid billings (past due accounts)
  • Prepare budget quarterly and annually
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transaction
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounting and Business Development team. Supervise/check work activities of all accounting staff for accuracy.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the Partners and Board of Directors; Closely advise top management on how to manage income, expenses, and investments.
  • Prepare regular financial statements of the company.
  • Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
  • Develop and implement internal controls by March and review every quarter to safeguard company assets
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, GAAP, and relevant regulations
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations
  • Conduct annual internal audit. Timely coordination with external auditors for external audit.
  • Provide inspiring leadership and lead by example. Endeavor to resolve personnel issues before conflict arises; Resolve team conflicts and make hard decisions for the team. Ensure that the team is equipped with proper manpower, hardware, software and support to efficiently accomplish their work.
  • Facilitate performance evaluation for the team and submit to HR. Coordinate with HR for any concerns regarding manpower in order to address or resolve issues within the team
  • Demonstrate and foster our Core Values, exhibiting professionalism and good stewardship at all times
  • Recommend and contribute to overall company strategies by introducing innovative ways to the Business Units, suggest best practices and standard operating procedures that may improve the work flow, environment and culture in the office.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; Certified Public Accountant
  • At least 5 years experience in Accounting and Finance
  • Vast knowledge in BIR compliances
  • Extensive experience managing AP, AR, Financial Reporting, TAX/BIR Functions
  • Vast experience in using different accounting systems
  • High proficiency in financial software and MS Office (especially Excel); In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), practices, and regulations
