Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Accounting Head with at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a hospital or healthcare setting, to lead the accounting and financial operations of the organization. The role will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, internal controls, and the accounting team while ensuring accurate and timely financial information for management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the overall accounting and finance operations of the hospital.
- Manage the preparation and review of financial statements, management reports, and accounting schedules.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, billing, collections, and reconciliation activities.
- Monitor hospital revenues, expenses, cash flow, and financial performance.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of hospital-related transactions, including patient billing, insurance/HMO collections, and other healthcare revenues.
- Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other applicable government accounting and tax requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, government agencies, and other external stakeholders.
- Review and improve accounting processes and systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting team, ensuring proper workload distribution and performance.
- Provide management with financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as may be assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
- Hospital or healthcare industry experience is required/preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, accounts reconciliation, and internal controls.
- Experience handling hospital accounting, patient billing, HMO/insurance transactions, or healthcare-related financial operations is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential financial information.
- CPA license is an advantage.
