Role: Accounting & Finance Manager

Review Buzz is a fully remote, U.S.-based company with approximately 20 team members. We help businesses grow through customer engagement and reputation management. We're looking for an experienced Accounting & Finance Manager to build and own our finance function.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working independently and wants to make a meaningful impact in a growing company. You'll serve as our sole finance professional, managing day-to-day accounting while providing leadership with accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and business insights.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting Operations:
- Own the complete accounting cycle from transaction entry through month-end close
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts
- Maintain the general ledger
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Manage expense reporting and ensure company credit card purchases are appropriate, properly categorized, and supported
Payroll:
- Process payroll accurately and on time
- Maintain payroll records
- Coordinate payroll tax reporting and compliance requirements as needed
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop annual budgets
- Maintain rolling forecasts
- Analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow
- Prepare monthly management reports and financial dashboards
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve financial performance
- Support leadership with financial modeling and decision-making
Compliance & Controls:
- Maintain internal financial controls
- Ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards and applicable regulations
- Coordinate year-end financial activities and work with external tax professionals when necessary
- Prepare documentation for audits, lenders, or investors
Business Partnership:
- Provide timely financial reporting to company leadership
- Prepare financial information requested by investors or lenders
- Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and financial visibility
- Help leadership understand the financial impact of strategic decisions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience
- Experience managing the full accounting cycle independently
- Strong understanding of U.S. accounting principles (GAAP)
- Experience preparing financial statements
- Budgeting and forecasting experience
- Payroll processing experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
Preferred:
- CPA or equivalent accounting designation
- Experience serving as the sole accounting or finance professional in a small business
- Experience supporting companies in the US with $1M-$10M in annual revenue
- SaaS, technology, or digital marketing industry experience
- Experience working with remote and international teams
