Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk with experience in import and export operations. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, hands-on experience with QuickBooks, and a solid understanding of international logistics documentation and billing. This role requires accuracy, organization, and the ability to work closely with operations and finance teams.

Job Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions related to import and export

operations

Enter and reconcile invoices, freight charges, duties, and related logistics costs in QuickBooks

Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records for international shipments

Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, and bank transactions

Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

Maintain organized financial and shipping documentation in compliance with company policies

Respond to vendor and customer billing inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Support audits and financial reporting as needed

Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred

Prior experience in import/export, logistics, or freight forwarding environments preferred

Proficiency with QuickBooks (preferred)

Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Good organizational and time-management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
