Accounting Associate (Revenue Assurance & GL)
Job Summary
The Revenue Assurance + General Ledger Associate is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely recording of revenue transactions and related accounting entries. The role supports revenue reconciliation, general ledger activities, account analysis, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and validate revenue transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper recording in the accounting system.
- Perform regular reconciliation of revenue, billing, collections, and related accounts against the General Ledger.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, variances, and unusual transactions in coordination with relevant teams.
- Prepare and review journal entries for revenue and other assigned GL accounts.
- Maintain and analyze assigned General Ledger accounts, ensuring balances are accurate and properly supported.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and necessary adjusting entries.
- Prepare schedules, reports, and supporting documents for revenue and GL accounts.
- Monitor revenue-related processes and identify potential leakages, errors, or control gaps.
- Coordinate with Billing, Finance, Sales, Operations, and other relevant teams to resolve accounting and revenue concerns.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable standards.
- Assist in internal and external audit requirements by providing necessary schedules and supporting documents.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Preferably with 3–4 years of experience in General Ledger, Revenue Accounting, Revenue Assurance, Billing, Audit, or related accounting functions.
- Experience in account reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end closing is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with financial data and reports.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively with different stakeholders.
- CPA is an advantage but not required.
