The Accounting Associate 1 is responsible in supporting core accounting operations by performing accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and transaction cleanup activities in QuickBooks and related systems. This role focuses on transaction accuracy, discrepancy investigation, and issue resolution while collaborating with senior team members in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description:
Perform core accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and bank and credit card reconciliations.
Identify discrepancies, investigate unreconciled balances, and support timely resolution of accounting issues.
Enter, review, and clean up high-volume transactions in QuickBooks while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Troubleshoot basic system issues and understand how accounting systems and third-party integrations impact financial data.
Follow standardized cleanup and implementation workflows while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Investigate transactions, recognize patterns, and identify root causes of accounting discrepancies or data issues.
Apply guidance from senior team members while exercising independent judgment to identify and escalate accounting concerns.
Support client onboarding and cleanup efforts, including assisting with third-party system integrations as needed.
Document cleanup actions, findings, and unresolved issues clearly for review and handoff.
Communicate professionally with internal teams and stakeholders across remote locations.
Work overtime as needed during peak or busy periods to meet business and client demands.
Required Qualification:
Hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and bank and credit card reconciliations.
Identify discrepancies and resolve unreconciled balances.
Experience managing high-volume transactions with strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with accounting system troubleshooting and understanding of system integrations.
Investigate transactions and identify root causes of accounting discrepancies.
Demonstrates independent judgment while following standardized workflows.
Organized and able to manage tasks through completion in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work overtime during busy seasons.
Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.
