Accounting Associate

The Accounting Associate will support day-to-day accounting operations for multiple clients. This role requires strong attention to detail, willingness to learn cloud accounting platforms, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. You will work closely with Senior Associates, Accounting Managers, and clients to ensure accurate bookkeeping, timely reporting, and compliance with Philippine regulatory requirements.

Roles and responsibilities

• Perform accounting, tax compliance, and payroll services to clients.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in preparing BIR-related documentation and tax filings (VAT, Withholding Tax, etc.).
• Ensure documentation is complete and compliant with Philippine and International accounting standards.
• Coordinate with internal and client teams for audit requirements.
• Help implement automation tools and accounting integrations.
• Contribute to improving accounting workflows and documentation.
• Drafts reports, analysis, presentations for use by the Accounting Services Manager in communications and presentations to clients.
• Perform client fieldwork from time-to-time as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Financial Management or other accounting-related courses.
• CPA is preferred but not required.
• Fresh graduates and CPA reviewees are welcome to apply.
• Working knowledge and experience in cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero, Quickbooks, Odoo, Zoho, and others.
• Basic skills in using Google Workspace tools, MS Excel, MS Word, and Powerpoint.
• Articulate in Filipino and English, possess good interpersonal communication and personal leadership skills.
• Willing to work on a hybrid work set-up.
• Willing to be deployed to local and international fieldworks.
