Job Description:
The Accounting Associate Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial management and control of project-related costs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting of all project expenditures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and record project-related (CAPEX) transactions
- Ensure all project expenses are properly approved, documented, and coded
- Track project budgets vs actual spend and highlight variances
- Support monthly and year-end financial closing activities
- Prepare project cost reports and financial summaries for management
- Assist in internal and external audit requirements
- Maintain accurate project financial records in the accounting system (e.g., SAP or similar ERP)
- Coordinate with project teams, procurement, and finance stakeholders
- Support process improvements in project cost tracking and controls
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- At least 4-5 years of experience in project accounting, cost accounting, or general accounting
- Proven experience handling CAPEX or project-based transactions
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data handling, basic analysis, reporting)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, FICO, MM, PS or Asset Accounting modules) is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
