Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for an Accounting Associate, located in Taguig. The Accounting Associate will be responsible for supporting the organization's general accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Accounting Associate will assist in the efficient operation of accounting processes and provide financial and administrative support to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Process and record invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Assist in account reconciliations and financial reporting activities.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Contribute to process improvements and administrative support within the Finance Department.

The role requires strict compliance with company policies for data handling and privacy, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to global regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of accounts receivable processes and general accounting principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving process improvements.
  • Proficient in reconciling billing discrepancies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable functions.
  • Experience in preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Working knowledge of accounting processes, internal controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting month-end and year-end closing activities is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
