Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Associate to support our Finance team, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable (AP) and government compliance and administrative requirements. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience, is familiar with Philippine government agencies and statutory compliance, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare payment vouchers and ensure complete supporting documentation before payment processing.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure payments are made within agreed payment terms.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors regarding billing and payment concerns.
  • Maintain organized AP records and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including AP reconciliations and accruals.

Government Compliance & Administrative Support

  • Prepare, process, and monitor government-related documents and filings as required.
  • Coordinate with government agencies such as the BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and LGUs for registrations, renewals, permits, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tax-related documents and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure timely compliance with government reporting deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of government permits, licenses, and regulatory documentation.

General Accounting

  • Assist with account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing requested documents.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Experience handling government administrative and compliance tasks, including coordination with BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and local government units.
  • Working knowledge of Philippine taxation and statutory requirements is an advantage.
  • Experience using accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a shared services, BPO, or corporate finance environment.
  • Exposure to month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
