Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Associate to support our Finance team, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable (AP) and government compliance and administrative requirements. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience, is familiar with Philippine government agencies and statutory compliance, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare payment vouchers and ensure complete supporting documentation before payment processing.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure payments are made within agreed payment terms.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors regarding billing and payment concerns.
- Maintain organized AP records and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including AP reconciliations and accruals.
Government Compliance & Administrative Support
- Prepare, process, and monitor government-related documents and filings as required.
- Coordinate with government agencies such as the BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and LGUs for registrations, renewals, permits, and compliance requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tax-related documents and supporting schedules.
- Ensure timely compliance with government reporting deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of government permits, licenses, and regulatory documentation.
General Accounting
- Assist with account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing requested documents.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
- Experience handling government administrative and compliance tasks, including coordination with BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and local government units.
- Working knowledge of Philippine taxation and statutory requirements is an advantage.
- Experience using accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a shared services, BPO, or corporate finance environment.
